The title of the post above is a reference to Sharknado 2: The Second One, in case you are not culturally literate in horrible movies.  Today’s poem comes from the experience of being ignored, something that I find happens more as I enter my midlife years.  I imagine that happens to everyone, but women in particular find their grievances categorized and diminished as imagined/hysterical/overblown.   My friend Caryn called this the “screaming woman syndrome,” referring to how much effort it takes to be heard at all when you’re past a certain age.  Here you go…
